VR Lotto is back!

As most of you are aware our club lotto, which commenced over 22 years ago on May 31st, 1998 has been one of our main revenue sources. Due to Covid-19, we made the difficult decision to suspend it but the good news is it will recommence on Sunday, August 2nd.


Prior to updating you on how you can play, we would like to acknowledge the contribution of so many people who have ensured it’s success since it first commenced. The people who organise it each week, the individuals / commercial outlets who sell the tickets and of course the people who purchase same. It is a source of great encouragement that many of the people who started it, are still very active in it’s operation. It is also noteworthy that a number of people who purchased tickets for the first run back on May 31st 1998 have continued to do so ever since. We would also like to remember the people who were involved at an organisational level but who have had to step down for personal reasons. Finally we would like to remember a number of individuals, who did trojan work over the years but who have now sadly passed on to their eternal reward. May they rest in peace.


Due to the new ‘normal’, we have had to suspend a number of other fundraising events so our club lotto has taken on a new sense of importance and despite obvious difficulties we believe the people of this wonderful parish and beyond will ensure that it will be even more successful.


We have a number of options available to purchase tickets.
1. An annual ticket, which costs €70. Note individuals who purchased prior to the lockdown, the commencement date for 2020 will be 01/08/2020.
2. You can purchase a ticket for €1.50 on a weekly basis from your usual source, including the local shops and pubs that provide this service.
